TIBCO® Adapters provide pre-built integration with target systems and can be used by services created in TIBCO BusinessWorks™. TIBCO mainframe adapters support connectivity and integration requirements using both host-based and off-host deployment strategies. Host-based adapters execute natively on z/OS and interface with the TIBCO ESB via messaging. Off-host adapters provide access to mainframe assets from distributed platforms . By offering both connectivity and deployment options, TIBCO mainframe adapters address a wide range of integration solutions that utilize mainframe data and information.

TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase executes on distributed platforms and provides bi-directional access to a DB2 system that is running on z/OS and the TIBCO application environment via interactions with other TIBCO products such as TIBCO BusinessWorks and TIBCO Hawk®.
The adapter supports both Data Definition Language and Data Manipulation Language operations on mainframe-resident DB2 tables and databases.
- TIBCO Adapter for CICS
TIBCO Adapter for CICS, running on distributed systems, enables applications to interact with existing CICS transactions. This interaction is accomplished using CICS ECI protocol and requires no changes to CICS program code. The adapter transparently passes message requests to and receives replies from CICS. Complex requests can be orchestrated using TIBCO BusinessWorks.
- TIBCO Adapter for Files z/OS (MVS)
TIBCO Adapter for Files z/OS (MVS) is host-based and provides bi-directional access between files and VSAM datasets on z/OS and the TIBCO messaging infrastructure. The adapter is ideally suited for acquiring file-resident data and information and making it available to other TIBCO application processes.
The adapter converts file data from the host system into TIBCO message format and transmits the messages using TIBCO Rendezvous® or TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™ messaging transports.
- TIBCO Adapter for MQSeries
TIBCO Adapter for MQSeries executes on distributed platforms and connects TIBCO's messaging infrastructure with IBM's WebSphere MQ running on the z/OS platform. The adapter supports operations consistent with the IBM WebSphere MQ messaging API. It transforms messages from TIBCO sources and can place them on a WMQ queue. It also extracts messages from WMQ and converts them to a format suitable for consumption by other TIBCO applications.
